Overview

The Beckhoff EK1101 EtherCAT Coupler links 100BASE‑TX EtherCAT networks to EtherCAT Terminals (ELxxxx). It converts Ethernet telegrams to E‑bus signals, auto-detects attached terminals, and includes three hexadecimal ID switches for assigning a unique group ID, enabling flexible, variable topologies. System and field supplies (24 V DC) are provided at the coupler; the E‑bus can supply up to 5 V / 2 A to terminals.
